YouTube deleted more than 9.5 million videos
YouTube has taken out more than 9.5 million videos from its platforms taking big action. Google’s video streaming platform has removed these videos due to content vileation. According to the report released by the company, the video was uploaded on YouTube between October last year to December 2024. Most of the videos deleted from YouTube were uploaded by Indian creators.

YouTube reported that the video was against his content policy. The most deleted deleted 3 million videos were uploaded by Indian creators. Most of the videos removed by video sharing platforms were Hate Speech, Rumors, Harassing, which were against the company’s content policy.

The highest 5 million videos removed on YouTube features children, which is against the company’s content policy. In these videos, dangerous stunts, harassment etc. were featured with children.
48 lakh channels also removal
YouTube has not only removed the video from its platform, but the company has also removed more than 48 million channels. Videos with spam or fraud were being uploaded through these channels. If a channel is removed on YouTube, then all the videos uploaded on that channel are also deleted automatically. Due to the action taken on the channel, about 5.4 million, or 54 lakh videos were removed.
The platform of Google reported that this action is taken from time to time to maintain a safe video platform for YouTube for transparent and users. The company analyzes those videos after the AI based detection tool as well as the users reported. He is then removed from the platform.
