Sachin Tendulkar
The Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI will honor the legendary player Sachin Tendulkar with the Lifetime Achievement Award at its annual award on 1 February. Sachin Tendulkar had said goodbye to international cricket in 2013, in which he has no such records so far, which no player was able to break. The BCCI will hold its award ceremony at the head office in Mumbai. At the annual award ceremony held last year, Ravi Shastri and former veteran wicketkeeper Farooq Engineer received Colonel CK Naidu Lifetime Achievement Award.
Sachin Tendulkar made his debut at the age of 16
In international cricket, Sachin Tendulkar made his debut at the age of 16, after which he became an important part of Team India. While Sachin played 200 Tests in his international career, he also managed to play 463 ODIs. Apart from this, Sachin also played a T20 international match. Sachin has 18,426 runs in ODIs, while in the Test he has scored 15,921 runs. Sachin has a record of scoring 100 centuries in international cricket, which has not been able to break any player so far. In his long career for more than 2 decades, Sachin proved himself in every situation and that is why he is counted among all -time great players. In 2011, when Team India won the ODI World Cup, the team was also part of the team in which he was playing the sixth World Cup of his career.
Sachin 31st player to receive Colonel CK Naidu Award
Colonel CK Naidu Award was launched in 1994 by BCCI. In fact, Naidu played first class cricket from 1916 to 1963, in which it is also a record of 47 years long first class career. After this, CK Naidu also served the board as an administrator. Sachin is the 31st player to receive this special award. Earlier, Kapil Dev, Dilip Vengsarkar, Syed Kirmani, K Srikanth have also been honored with this award.
