Why is Veer Bal Diwas celebrated?
‘Veer Bal Diwas’ is celebrated to commemorate the martyrdom of two sons of Guru Gobind Singh. Veer Bal Diwas is celebrated to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, sons of Guru Gobind Singh. Mughal ruler Wazir Khan had put pressure on both of them to accept Islam, but when both of them did not agree, they were crucified alive on the wall. Since then this festival is being celebrated in the memory of these two brave sons.
1.70 lakh students will take pledge
On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, 1.70 lakh students will be taught de-addiction lessons. With this India will make history. After prayer, drug-free pledge will be given in council schools. After this, a record will be made with the help of Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh. Which will serve to give a big message to the country and the world. Along with the competitions in Khalsa Inter College, students will be told about his biography.
New tradition started in 2022
Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh were martyred on 26 December 1705. From the year 2022, Veer Bal Diwas is celebrated to honor the sacrifice of the four Sahibzadas of the last Sikh Guru Gobind Singh.
