The Israeli Defense Minister spoke on the war with Iran in an interview. US Defense Secretary Hegseth addressed the media in Pentagon.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katj said on Thursday that Israel wanted to eliminate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Katj said in an interview with Channel 13, “If Khamenei were in our reach, we would have killed them.”
Katj said, “Israel wanted to eliminate Khamenei, but there was no chance to do so.” Katj was asked if Israel asked the US permission, he replied, ‘We do not need any permission for these things.’
At the same time, after US President Donald Trump, now US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has reiterated that his attack on June 22 was completely destroyed by Iran’s nuclear bases. Hegseth addressed the media on the Iran attack at the Headquarter Pentagon of the Defense Department along with Joint Chief of Staff Chairman General Dan Ken.
Hegseth said, “America’s attack on Iran was a historically successful attack.” Hegseth reprimanded journalists to inform about the intelligence report, stating that Iran’s nuclear program had suffered minor damage from the attacks.

America said- The result of 15 years of planning on Iran During media briefing, Hegseth and Kane called the attack on Iran a result of 15 years of study and planning. He also showed a video of the testing of the bunker Buster bomb, designed to penetrate deep into the mountains.
Kane said the US targeted both ventilation shafts as an entry point to demolish a bomb in Iran’s Fordo site. The Iranians placed large concrete slabs over both the ventilation routes.
The first bomb was demolished by the US Army to destroy the concrete slab. The four bombs were then demolished from a slightly different angles on the main shaft to destroy individual parts of the underground nuclear site of Fordo.
Kane said that it is not his job to assess the loss at nuclear bases. However, pilots of the bomb dropping B2-aircraft said that the flames that arose after the bomb were dropped had never seen before that.
American media claims- Iranian nuclear program is just backward for a few months The US media houses CNN and the New York Times claimed on 25 June that Iran’s nuclear program was not completely destroyed by the US attacks. Just lagged behind for a few months.
This claim has been made based on an American intelligence report. However, Trump called these media reports on his social media platform Truth as ‘fake news’.
The war between Iran and Israel began on 13 June. On the morning of 22 June, US President Donald Trump said on the social platform Truth that we successfully attacked Iran’s three nuclear bases- Fordo, Natanj and Isfahan.
He claimed in the country’s name after about 3 hours that the nuclear hideouts of Iran had been completely destroyed. After 12 days of war, Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran-Israel on 24 June. 627 people died in Iran and 28 in Israel.
