Bank holiday: In some states of India, banks will remain closed on the occasion of Rath Yatra on Friday 27 June 2025. This is followed by the fourth Saturday of the month on 28 June and Sunday on June 29. On June 30, banks are going to be closed in some states of the country. If seen, banks are going to be closed for four days in some states. This long weekend loan can cause delay in distribution, check clearance and other branch -based service. Therefore, it is being advised to settle the necessary banking work in time and use digital banking service more.
Which states will remain closed in which states?
Banks will remain closed due to the chariot yatra in Odisha and Manipur on 27 June 2025. But this holiday is not valid in other states of India, so banks will remain open normally.
Bank closed in Mizoram on 30 June
Apart from this, banks will remain closed on 30 June 2025 on the occasion of ‘Remana Ni’ (Peace Day) in Mizoram.
What is the chariot journey?
Rath Yatra, also known as Rath Jatra, is a world famous Hindu festival celebrated in Puri (Odisha). It is a festival of city tour by going out of the temple in the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra. It is celebrated every year in June-July (Ashadh month).
