Phil Goff was the High Commissioner of New Zealand in Britain.
New Zealand has dismissed the High Commissioner Phil Goff in Britain. He criticized US President Donald Trump on Wednesday. He was angry at the way he ends his Ukraine war.

Peters said that “When you are in that position, you represent the government and the policies of that time, you are the face of New Zealand. It is not a way to behave diplomatically as a face in front of a country.”
Peters said, “We cannot allow people to make such comments that affect our future – irrespective of the country, whether it is Neu, Samoa, Tonga, Japan or, I can say that the United States is.”
Goff was the High Commissioner since January 2023. Earlier, he served in several ministers including justice, foreign affairs and defense.
Former Prime Minister supports Goff Meanwhile, former Prime Minister Helen Clarke criticized Goff’s dismissal, saying that this is the weakest excuse to remove a High Commissioner from the post. Whatever Goff said right.
Clarke, who led New Zealand from 1999 to 2008, said Goff said that when she attended the Munich Security Conference in Germany last month, people described the Munich incident and similarities between the current American actions.
