The Mumbai Police recently filed a charge sheet in the case of an attack on Saif Ali Khan. According to this, some of the fingerprints taken from Saif’s house after the incident were not matching the fingerprint of the accused. The Bandra police have added two fingerprint reports in this charge sheet. However, on technical grounds, police sources said that many fingerprints were not even able to be identified. Apart from this, another CID report has been added to the charge sheet, which also states that a left hand mark found on the 8th floor of the building matches the accused.
Fingerprints met these places
The fingerprint report stated that seven out of 20 fingerprints were taken from the bathroom door of the back from the door of a sliding bedroom and two from the cupboard door. These prints do not match any fingerprints of the slips obtained to compare Shahid Shabbir Syed (suspect) and Shariful Islam Shahzad (arrested). The fingerprint report enclosed in the charge sheet further states that along with the above prints, the National Automated Fingerprint Identification System (NAFIS) and the automated multi-model biometric identification system (AMBIS) have also been examined.
Fingerprints are not matching
Not all NCRB would match any fingerprint slip of a person already arrested or convicted in the fingerprint bureau records of New Delhi and Maharashtra. That is, there are many fingerprints in this case that do not disclose the ridge details and hence they are not right for finger print check.
