Bank Holiday Wednsday 16 April 2025: All banks are going to be closed on Wednesday as well. On April 16, banks are going to be closed in some states of the country. That is, customers cannot go to the bank on Wednesday and handle work. Learn here why RBI has given tomorrow’s holiday. In which states banks are going to be closed.
Why will the banks be closed on 16 April?
Banks will remain closed due to Bohag Bihu in Assam on Wednesday 16 April. Banks will be open in the rest of the states. This festival is the largest and traditional New Year festival of Assam, which is celebrated with pomp throughout the state. For this reason, this day is an official holiday in Assam and not all banking services will be available that day. Therefore, if there is any necessary work related to the bank, it would be better to settle it in advance.
Digital banking service will be operational
Despite the bank branch being closed, net banking, mobile banking, UPI and ATM service will continue. Customers can send money online, pay bills and other digital banking work.
