Rohit Sharma

Rohit will now be seen playing only ODI cricket.
Under the captaincy of Rohit, Team India won the Champions Trophy 2025 title this year. However, Rohit & Company was disappointed on the tournament tour before this tournament. In the 5-match Test series played on Australia’s land, Team India suffered a crushing defeat. In this series, Rohit flopped so badly with the bat that he had to exclude himself in the 5th Test match. After this, there were speculations that the hitman would say goodbye to Test cricket soon after the series. However, nothing like this was seen after the end of BGT. But now he announced his retirement from the oldest format of cricket about 45 days before the England tour began.
Big disclosure of childhood coach
After Rohit Sharma’s retirement, now the big statement of his childhood coach Dinesh Lad has come out. Dinesh Lad has made a big disclosure about Rohit Sharma’s next big goal. Lad told PTI video that Rohit’s goal is to win the 2027 ODI World Cup and then retire. Lad said that his goal was the World Test Championship, but unfortunately we could not qualify. Now 2027 is the World Cup. He also wants Rohit to win the World Cup in 2027 and then retire.
Rohit decided thoughtfully
He said that Rohit did not take the decision to retire from the Test in a hurry. He did not want to play T20 International after the T20 World Cup in the US last year, but his decision to play in the other two formats. He must have thought well about what is best for him. When asked if Rohit was not convinced of captaining the five-match Test series against England in June this year, he said that the decision to say goodbye to the Test has nothing to do with the tour of England. His thinking would have to give a chance to the next generation, as he did after the T20 World Cup last year.
