Economic Think tank GTRI said on Saturday that India should withdraw from all negotiations with the US and prepare for talks with the Trump administration in the same way as countries such as China and Canada are doing. Ajay Srivastava, the founder of Global Trade Research Initiative, said that the US is putting heavy pressure on India to accept trade demands that are roughly suited to American interests. In fact, US President Donald Trump has claimed that India has agreed to reduce tariffs on American goods imported here. Whereas this has not been confirmed by the Government of India yet. Trump also alleged that India imposes heavy tariffs on goods imported. It is very difficult to sell anything there. However, expressing happiness, he said that now India has agreed to reduce the tariff.
America is using wrong figures
Srivastava said that US President Donald Trump and his officials have criticized India using most wrong figures. Srivastava said, “Trump is publicly insulting India using wrong figures. No balanced result is possible under such circumstances. India should withdraw from all negotiations and prepare to deal with them like other countries. ”China and Canada have announced retaliation against the American tariff.
Trump is lowering India
Trump on Friday claimed that India agreed to reduce tariffs on American imports. Srivaswat said, “India’s silence is surprising and India needs to answer with facts.” The whole world is seeing that Trump and his officials are degrading India every day. ”US Commerce Minister Howard Lutnik has also said that India needs to open its agricultural market.
