The sufferings of the people increased due to the recent snowfall in Himachal Pradesh. A total of 134 roads including three national highways have been closed after the snowfall. Due to drop in minimum temperature, people have been shivering due to severe cold. Tabo in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest place in the state, where the night temperature was recorded at minus 10.6 degrees Celsius. Most roads closed in Shimla
According to the State Emergency Operation Centre, Shimla district has the maximum number of 77 roads closed. Additionally, 65 transformers were disrupted, affecting power supply across the state. According to the Meteorological Department, there was 9.7 mm rainfall in Bhuntar, 9.4 mm in Rampur, 8.4 mm in Shimla, 8 mm in Bajaura, 7.2 mm in Seobag, 7 mm in Manali, 6 mm in Gohar, 5.4 mm in Mandi and 3.8 mm in Jubbarhatti. .

How will the weather be in the next 3 days?
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in some parts of the state from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. Especially in Shimla, Kullu, Manali and Lahaul-Spiti, there may be more snowfall. This is likely to have further impact on roads and power supply. The administration has started relief work in the affected areas. Efforts are being made to remove snow from the roads and restore power supply. Officials have appealed to the people not to leave their homes unnecessarily and to check the weather before travelling.
