The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has announced that ODI series will be played between the Indian women’s team, South Africa women’s team and the Sri Lanka women’s team in April and May. The tri -series will be held from 27 April to 11 May. The series will be important for the preparation of the 50 -over World Cup to be held in India later this year. In which all teams would like to make their right team combination.
A total of 7 matches will be held in Tri -series including final
The press release of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board states that the Tri -series will have a total of 7 matches. During this time, every team will play twice from another team. Due to which each team will have four matches. After this, the finals will be played between the teams living on the top-2 in the points table. The tournament will be held here at R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
Players of Indian women’s team playing in WPL
Most players of the Indian women’s team are currently participating in WPL 2025. While some players of South Africa women’s team are also playing in WPL. On the other hand, the Sri Lankan women’s team is currently playing an ODI series against New Zealand. India is ranked more than the three teams participating in the tri -series. The Indian women’s team is currently in third place. South Africa is at the fourth and the Sri Lankan team at number seven.
The first match of the tri -series will be held on 27th
The women’s ODI tri -series will start with the match between India and Sri Lanka. The match will be played on 27 April. The final match will be played on 11 March. The Sri Lankan women’s team defeated India and won the Asia Cup title. The South African team also reached the semi -finals of the ODI World Cup 2022. Where Team India was out of the group stage itself.
