India vs New Zealand
The Indian team defeated New Zealand to win the title of Champions Trophy 2025. Thanks to the brilliant innings of Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Team India defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets and captured the Champions Trophy for the third time. For the first time in 2002, the Indian team became the joint winner of the Champions Trophy with Sri Lanka. After this, under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Team India became the champion for the second time by defeating England and now won the title for the third time under Rohit’s captaincy.
Team India won the semi -finals by winning their three matches in the group stage in Dubai and then defeated Australia and secured the final ticket. With the team India reached the finals, the title match of the Champions Trophy was scheduled to be played in Dubai. Here the Indian team faced New Zealand and then under the captaincy of Rohit, Team India made history by winning the title.
World record equals in Dubai
In Dubai, Team India played all 5 matches of the Champions Trophy 2025 and won the title by winning all. In this way, Team India equaled New Zealand’s very big world record. Actually, Team India has become the team winning the most ODI without loses on a venue. India equaled New Zealand’s records in Dubai, registering 10 wins in 11 matches. In Dubai, India won 10 out of 11 matches while one match was tied. The team of Nuzance has also done a big feat to win the highest 10 ODIs in Dunedin without losing.

Significantly, the Champions Trophy 2025 was organized under the Hybrid Model. A total of 8 teams attended the tournament. All teams were divided into 2 groups. Group-A included Bangladesh, New Zealand and Pakistan, besides India, while Group-B staged Australia, England, Afghanistan and South Africa.
India had already refused to go to Pakistan to attend the tournament, after which BCCI and Pakistan Cricket Board i.e. PCB agreed to the hybrid model. In such a situation, the Indian team played all their matches in Dubai. Even a high-voltage match between India and Pakistan was played in Dubai.
