Mathematics teacher Prakash Bhoi at Buffalo Adarsh ​​Vidyalaya applied for the holiday after his grandfather’s funeral attended the funeral. But the principal in -charge of the school, Bijayalakshmi Pradhan did not approve her leave and directed him to go to the District Education Officer and DPC office.

Bhoi said that when he reached the DPC office, his health worsened around 12 noon. He sought permission to go to the hospital, but the principal asked without worrying about his health whether he could return by 2 pm.

‘Madam did not allow me to leave’

Bhoi said, “The government hospital was far away, and I did not have money to go to a private hospital, nor was my UPI working. So I returned to office without getting treatment and worked till late evening. Despite repeated requests, Madam did not allow me to leave.”

Even after taking medicine at night, Bhoi’s condition did not recover. He again demanded a holiday from the principal, but he refused and said that it is necessary to come to school to prepare for the exam. In compulsion, he decided to go to school by offering a doctor align, because his health was very bad. When Bhoi reached school, his colleagues immediately sent him to the hospital after seeing his condition.

Bhoi alleged that this is not the first time that it happened to him. “Other teachers are easily discharged, but in my case I am mentally tortured.” The matter highlights the insensitivity of the officers in the education department.
