When Wriddhiman Saha landed in the Ranji Trophy to bat in the first innings against Punjab, all the players gave him a guard of honor. He cut the cake and the players presented the sign several Jersey. After this, he also looked quite emotional. But in the first innings, he could not show anything special and was dismissed by zero runs in 7 balls. In the second innings, he can come to batting for the Bengal team.

Wriddhiman Saha posted on the social media platform X on 3 November 2024 and wrote that this season will be my last after a great journey in cricket. I feel honored by representing Bengal for the last time. I am playing only in the Ranji Trophy before retiring. Let’s make this season memorable.

Wriddhiman Saha has so far scored 7169 runs in 141 first class matches, with 14 centuries with his bat. Apart from this, he has scored 3072 runs in 116 List-A matches. He has also shown his power in Tests and ODI cricket for India. He scored 1353 runs in 40 Tests for the Indian team, including three centuries and 6 half -centuries. He is out of the Indian Test team after 2021. At the same time, 41 runs are recorded in his name in 9 ODIs.
