Star Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer has received the Player of the Month Award from the ICC for March 2025. This middle order batsman of India won the prestigious award, leaving behind Jacob Dafi and Rachin Ravindra of New Zealand. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced it on Tuesday. Iyer performed brilliantly with the bat in the Champions Trophy. He scored 243 runs in the tournament and was the highest run-scorer for India. Shreyas Iyer played several important innings in the tournament and played a big role in winning the Champions Trophy to Team India.

Talking about Shreyas Iyer’s performance in the Champions Trophy, he scored 98 off 79 balls in a group stage match against New Zealand, including 4 fours and 2 sixes. He then scored an important innings of 62 runs in 45 balls in the semi -finals against Australia. Shreyas Iyer scored 62 off 48 balls in the Champions Trophy final match against New Zealand and played a big role in making India champions.

Shreyas Iyer’s Champions Trophy form has also continued in IPL 2025. The Punjab Kings captain has scored 250 runs in 5 matches so far. This season Shreyas has played 3 half -century innings so far and during this time his strike rate has been 208.33. Shreyas Iyer can get Central Contract
Shreyas Iyer was not named in that list when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Central Contract for the 2023-24 season. Iyer was punished by the board that he did not give much importance to domestic cricket. But after that Iyer played domestic cricket and performed well there. In such a situation, they can now return to the Central Contract. BCCI may soon announce the Central Contract.
