Pakistan Super League 2025: Pakistan Super League was started in the year 2016. Since then, a total of 9 seasons of PSL have been played and now preparations for PSL 2025 have also intensified. Even before the PSL 2025 draft, all 6 teams have released the list of players retained by them. Before the draft, each team could retain a maximum of 8 players, including a maximum of two foreign players. Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars have retained 8 players each. Whereas Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans retained seven players each. All 6 franchises together have retained a total of 45 players.
Islamabad United won the title of PSL 2024
Islamabad United won the title of Pakistan Super League 2024. Then team captain Shadab Khan had shown an amazing game. He also received the Player of the Tournament award for his excellent performance. The team has also placed Naseem Shah in the platinum category. Whereas Imad Wasim, Azam Khan, Salman Ali Aga and Haider Ali have been retained by the team. The Islamabad team has also made Imad Wasim a mentor.
Multan has made it to the finals for the last 4 seasons
Multan Sultans have made it to the finals of the Pakistan Super League for the last four seasons. Multan has performed strongly under the captaincy of Mohammad Rizwan. For this reason, Rizwan and leg spinner Usama Mir have been retained in the platinum category. David Willey, Iftikhar Ahmed, Usman Khan and Chris Jordan have also been retained in the team.
Babar Azam has scored the most runs in PSL
Babar Azam is at number one in terms of scoring most runs in Pakistan Super League. A total of 3504 runs are recorded in his name. Apart from them, Peshawar team has retained young batsman Sam Ayub, wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Haris and emerging spinner Sufiyan Muqeem. Ayub has batted well for Pakistan for some time now. Sufiyan Peshawar is the brand ambassador of Zalmi.
