Doctors treating Pope Francis themselves have revealed this. 88 years Pope Francis was admitted to the hospital in February due to respiratory disease. He was discharged last Sunday 5 weeks later.

When the Pope’s private nurse Masimiliano Strepeti was asked for the closure of treatment, he flatly refused. He directed the medical team to continue treatment. He asked the team to try everything and not give up.

Almari said that the Pope was also convinced that he would not survive more than night. But after putting pressure from the nurse, the doctors began a fresh treatment. It also got the benefit and his condition started to improve.
Doctors announced on 10 March that they no longer threatened. As soon as the Pope began to feel better, the Pope started walking in the ward on his wheelchair and one evening offered pizza for all those who helped him.
After further improvement in the condition, the Pope sought permission from the doctors to go home, which he also got. After leaving the hospital, Pope came to his home in Santa Marta, located in Vatican City. According to doctors, they will need two months more rest to be completely healthy.
