Now you can also ask for a sim card sitting at home, that too in just 10 minutes. Telecom company Bharti Airtel and Quick Commerce Platform Blinkit have strategic partnership for this on Tuesday (April 15).
This is the first time that any major telecom operator has started such a service. This facility is currently available in 16 cities and will be expanded in other cities in the coming time.
How much will Airtel get SIM?
Airtel said in the information given to the stock market that customers can take a SIM card by paying a minimum of ₹ 49. It can be activated through the base-based KYC process.
Albinder Dhindsa, the founder and CEO of the Blinkit, said, ‘Blinking is fulfilling the responsibility of delivery. At the same time, Airtel has made it very easy for customers to select self-KYC, SIM activation and prepaid or postpaid plan. Customers can also choose the option of number portability, that too with full convenience.
In which cities are the service available?
Home delivery of Airtel and Blinking Partnership SIM cards is currently introduced in 16 cities. These include Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kolkata and Hyderabad.

Customers can choose to order SIM cards through online links. The SIM activation process can be easily completed through video guidance.

Siddharth Sharma, CEO and marketing director of Bharti Airtel’s’ Connected Homes’ division, said, ‘It is Airtel’s priority to simplify the lives of customers. This partnership with a blinkit is an important step in this direction. In the coming time, we will expand this service to more cities.
The condition of shares of both companies
Airtel shares were trading at ₹ 1,803.10 by 2.65% by 2.15 pm. At the same time, the shares of Eternal LTD (first Zomato), the parent company of the Blinkit, were at ₹ 214.55, which leads to 2.35%.
