Notice issued to Amazon-Flipkart amid India-Pakistan tension, know the whole matter

There has been a lot of tension between India and Pakistan since the Pahalgam attack. India is constantly taking strict decisions against Pakistan. Taking avenge of the Pahalgam attack, India carried out air strikes on Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir on the night of 7 May. After this move of India, Pakistan is now carrying out airstrikes on Indian areas. In this tension -filled environment, the government is continuously taking steps related to the safety of citizens. Meanwhile, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has also taken a major step. CCPA has issued notice to many e-commerce platforms.

Let us tell you that a notice has been issued by CCPA to many e-commerce platforms like Amazon-Flipkart. Amid India Pakistan tension, CCPA has issued notices to a total of 13 e-commerce platforms including Amazon and Flipkart. All these e-commerce platforms have been sent by the CCPA to illegally sell the walkie talkie device to all these e-commerce platforms.

Union Minister posted information by posting

Union Food and Consumer Minister Pralhad Joshi posted on social media and gave information in this regard. He said in his post that the sales of wireless gadgets who do not comply with rules not only violate the statutory obligations, but can also pose significant risk for national security operations. Action has been initiated by CCPA regarding illegal sale of Wockey Talkie. This action against the e-commerce platform will be focused on lack of complete knowledge about the radio waves operating, licensing details and approval of gadgets while listing such tools on the platform.

On behalf of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, it was informed that the CCPA will issue official guidelines under Section 18 (2) (L) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. He said that its purpose is to strengthen consumer protection measures and compliance in digital platforms. He said that instructions have been given to strictly follow all the applicable regulatory standards to maintain customers’ rights and ban the sale of illegal things.
