YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia and Apoorva Makhija have apologized in writing to the National Commission for Women for their objectionable comments on ‘India’s Got Latant’. Commission Chairman Vijaya Rahatkar gave this information on Friday and said that his comments made in the online program are ‘not acceptable’.

Allahabadia, Makhija and the producers of the show Saurabh Bothra and Tushar Pujers appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) here on Thursday. According to sources, both YouTubers were questioned for several hours. Rahatkar told a press conference on Friday that the National Commission for Women will not tolerate the use of unfair language. In response to a question, he said, ‘Tushar Pujari, Saurabh Bothra, Apoorva Makhija and Ranveer Allahabadia-four people appeared before the commission. The Commission will not accept the use of unfair language. Such comments are not acceptable at all.

Forgive in writing

Rahatkar said that these people have regretted their comments. He said, ‘Notices were issued to him keeping in mind the social influence. He appeared before the Commission and expressed deep regrets. He said that he should not have spoken like this and has given apology (forgiveness in writing).

Will not repeat such mistake in future

Rahatkar told reporters that he said that he had made a big mistake and he would not repeat such a mistake in the future. Rahatkar said that he said that he would ensure that no one is hurt by the words he used. Rahatkar said that Allahabadia specifically assured NCW that he would be more careful in future.

He said, ‘This is the first and last time when such a mistake has been made. Now I thoughtfully, I will speak something about women with respect. Rahatkar also highlighted the additional comments of Allahabadia, stating, ‘He specifically mentioned that the law was doing its work, and what has happened cannot be withdrawn. He said that he will ensure that he should speak thoughtfully and be cautious about the influence of his words, especially in relation to women.

The NCW took cognizance of the comments made by Allahabadia, Makhija and others on the comedian time of Raina due to which there was anger among the people last month. Several objections have been lodged against Allahabadia to comment on parents and sexual relations in Raina’s show. However, the Supreme Court has provided interim security to Allahabadia from arrest.
