The 82nd Golden Globe Awards were given on Sunday night in California. From India, Payal Kapadia’s film All We Imagine as Light was nominated in 2 categories, although the film missed out on winning this award. All We Imagine as Light was nominated in the categories of Best Film (Non-English) and Best Director.
French film Emilia Perez won the award in the Best Film category. At the same time, director Brady Corbett received the Golden Globe Award for Best Director for the film The Brutalist.

Payal Kapadia first Indian woman to be nominated for Best Director at Golden Globe
Payal is the first Indian filmmaker to be nominated for Best Director. His film All We Imagine Ad Light may have missed out on winning the Golden Globe, but the film has received the Grand Prix award at the Cannes Film Festival in May this year. Apart from All We Imagine as Light, films like Emilia Perez, The Girl with the Needle, I’m Still Here, The Seed of the Sacred Fig and Vermiglow were also included in the Best Film (Non-English) category.

Payal Kapadia’s film is based on the life of a nurse. The name of the lead character who became a nurse in this film is Prabha. The story of the film revolves around his life. Prabha has been living separately from her husband for a long time. Suddenly one day she receives a gift given by her husband. From here his whole life changes and his whole life gets disturbed.
RRR song got the award in 2023
Like this year, last year also India could not get any award in the Golden Globe. However, in the year 2023, the song Natu Natu from SS Rajamouli’s film RRR received the award in the Best Original Song category.
