India Pakistan tension: During the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, the government has feared a big cyber attack. The Central Government’s Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-in) has issued a special advisory advising the finance and other critical sector to strengthen its cyber security. According to the report, cyber attacks can be done on these institutions from Pakistan.
After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Government of India launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May, in which the targets of terrorist organizations in Pakistan were demolished. Since then, the tension between the two countries has increased further. According to the report, the security agency said in its advisory that we have been advising government agencies as well as to strengthen the cyber security of the private sector since the Pahalgam attack.
Cert-in advisory in his advisory especially the financial sector such as banks and other critical sectors to improve your alert mechanism. For this, the industry can take cooperation for alert mechanism with body nasscom.
There may be attack through social media
On the other hand, cyber attack can also be done through unknown numbers and social media platforms from Pakistan. In such a situation, people should not open any unknown link or file on social media like their WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram. Through this, cyber attack can be done.
Pakistan -based cyber criminals can send files or links to the users with unknown numbers in the name of funny videos like ‘Dance of the Hillary’ etc. People are warned not to open any such links and files. Through this, your smartphone or PC can be hacked, which may be a threat to the security of the country.
