Home Ministry in action regarding Murshidabad violence, 5 companies of BSF will be sent to the affected areas today, a total of 700 personnel will be deployed

Violence erupted on Friday in Murshidabad, West Bengal to protest against the Waqf (Amendment) Act. 3 people died due to this violence. Many people were seriously injured. There were also incidents of arson and sabotage in the district. The Home Ministry has come into action regarding the Murshidabad violence. The Union Home Ministry will send CRPF and RAF companies today to control the violence effective sector.

BSF 5 competers will be sent

The Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to send 5 companies of BSF to the affected area. It consists of more than 400 soldiers. So far, 300 BSF personnel are deployed in two affected areas. A total of 700 personnel will be deployed from Monday.

BSF fired 20-30 rounds in the air

BSF has recorded videos of violence affected areas. It showed that petrol bombs were thrown at them. Face mapping will be done soon. The BSF fired about 20–30 rounds of bullets in the air and pistols, so that no one is injured and the miscreants could be dispersed.

Report of violence sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs

A report has been sent to IG Karni Singh Shekhawat and ADG Ravi Gandhi regarding the Murshidabad violence. The report was sent to DG Daljit Singh along with analysis on the status of Murshidabad and the same report has been sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Status is being made normal in violence affected area

More deployment of soldiers will be further analyzed this morning. Initially, soldiers have been removed from the border area to help the police. The situation is controlled, but unexpected. The BSF is trying to normalize the situation with the police. Use of non-fatal weapons is the first priority to prevent violence.
