The blame fell on the Deputy Superintendent of Police
Tumkuru: Strict action has been taken against a Deputy Superintendent of Police in Karnataka. The Deputy Superintendent of Police has been arrested and suspended in connection with the alleged sexual harassment of a woman. Police gave this information on Friday.

Actually, the allegation is that a Deputy Superintendent of Police allegedly sexually harassed a woman who came to him with a complaint. Action has been taken against the Deputy Superintendent of Police in this case. After this he has been arrested and suspended.
Police said that the video of the incident had gone viral on social media. The police officer is 58 years old and has been identified as Ramachandrappa. He was posted as DSP in Madhugiri. In the purported video, the senior police officer can be seen abusing and behaving inappropriately with the woman.
Police say that this incident happened on Thursday. The woman had approached the officer in Tumakuru to complain about a land dispute. The woman alleges that she was taken to a room, abused and touched inappropriately.
After this matter came to light, the police officer was suspended and also arrested.
