Last year, the Indonesia government asked Apple to make 40 percent of its products of component to local manufacture. Because of this, all the products including old iPhone were banned along with Apple’s new launch product. After this new deal, 40 percent of the component component of Apple will be completed.
Certificate for 20 products approved
Indonesia’s Industry Ministry spokesman Fabry Hendry Antony Arif said that we have issued a local content request certificate for 20 Apple products. However, the certificate of which product has not been disclosed by the Industry Ministry has not disclosed. After this, Apple will have to get certificates from other departments. Apple can then start selling its products in Indonesia.
Since November last year, Apple has been engaged in removing the ban on its product in Indonesia. The company proposed an investment of $ 100 million in November, which was rejected by Jakarta. After this, Apple agreed to invest 150 million dolls and two facilities were agreed to put up two facilities in Indonesia’s western Java and Baatam to make accessories. It was also rejected by the Government of Indonesia.
The sale of iPhone 16 series will start soon
However, after the promise of investment of $ 280 million from Apple, the government has given a certificate of 20 products to the company. Industry Minister Agus Gumivang Cartasasmita said that Apple has also promised to open a semiconductor Research and Development Center in the country. This will be the company’s first R&D center in Asia. The new iPhone 16 series was not launched in Indonesia due to the ban on Apple’s products. Now soon the company will launch this series in Indonesia.
