Union Minister Nitin Gadkari arrived on Thursday to participate in an event held in Delhi. During this, while addressing the gathering, Nitin Gadkari once again mentioned road accidents. He said, “It is not good for us that in India we are facing many serious problems related to road accidents. Every year we have 4 lakh 80 thousand road accidents and 1 lakh 80 thousand deaths, which is probably the highest in the world. Out of these deaths, 66.4% of these deaths are 18 to 45 age group people and GDP is damaged, GDP is reduced to 3%.
Nitin Gadkari again said on road accidents
Nitin Gadkari said, “The loss of doctors, engineers and most importantly, talented youth is actually a huge loss for our country. The most important guilty for all these accidents is the guilty civil engineer. I do not blame everyone, but after 10 years of experience, I have come to this conclusion. The most important convicts are those who are making DPR (detailed project report) and have thousands of mistakes.” Addressing the Global Road Infratech Summit and Expo (GRIS), Gadkari said that immediate improvement in road safety measures needs to be improved. Gadkari said, “Most of the road accidents in the country are due to small mistakes, faulty DPR and no one is held responsible for it.”

The minister also called for the road construction industry to develop a strategy to increase road safety by adopting new technologies and sustainable recycling materials. The Union Minister said, “Small things like the instructions on the road and the mark system in India are also very bad. We need to learn from countries like Spain, Austria and Switzerland. ” Gadkari said that the worst quality DPR is made in India. He blamed large -scale engineers for an increase in the number of road accidents due to poor planning and design. He said, “This makes me think that the engineers are basically responsible for the increase in road accidents. Therefore, the main problem is road engineering and faulty plan and faulty DPR. ”
