Banks remain closed on second and fourth Saturdays

Customers should keep in mind that banks are closed as public holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays. Apart from this, banks are closed on Sundays and other national and local holidays. In the days when banks are closed, customers can do financial and non -financial transactions using service like internet banking, SMS banking and WhatsApp banking. To avoid any kind of trouble, first see that you are registering with the bank for all these service.

March 13 (Thursday): Holika Dahan and Atukal Pongala – Banks will remain closed in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Kerala.

March 14 (Friday): Holi (Dhulati/Dhulandi/Dole Jatra) – Public holidays except Tripura, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Kerala and Nagaland.

March 15 (Saturday): Holi in select states – banks closed in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Imphal and Patna

March 16 (Sunday) – Weekly holiday

March 22 (Fourth Saturday): Weekly Holiday and Bihar Day

March 23 (Sunday) – Weekly holiday

27 March (Thursday): Shab-e-Kadra-Bank closed in Jammu

28 March (Friday): Jumat-ul-Vida-Bank closed in Jammu and Kashmir

March 30 (Sunday) – Weekly holiday

March 31 (Monday): Ramadan-Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr) (Shaval-1)/Khutub-e-Ramjan-Most of the states except Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh will be holiday.
