Rourkela: The headmistress of a primary school in Bowai sub-division of Sundargarh district of Odisha has been suspended on January 28 after the boys ran away from the hostel of the boys on charges of negligence. Officials gave this information on Thursday. According to officials, the Baini Block Education Officer (BEO) has suspended Draupadi Sahu, the headmistress of the Sihidiha Primary School on charges of negligence.
After the punishment by the warden, ran away at midnight
He said that all the students are between seven and ten years of age and allegedly ran around midnight after the punishment given by the warden to one of them. Troubled by the sentence, the boy expelled other students from the hostel and returned to his village Balan. The Barkot police was informed about this in Devgarh district bordering the Baiyai border and immediately took the boys into custody safely.
Students accused the warden
The next morning, the Mahulpada police approached the Barkot police and brought the boys back. Sources said that although the students alleged that the warden’s behavior was not good towards the students, no action was taken against him. (With language inputs)
