Zomato become eternal: Jomato, a legendary of food and grocery, is changing its name to eternal. The company’s board has approved the new name on Thursday. According to a regulatory filing, approval of the company’s shareholders, ministry of corporate affairs and other applicable statutory authorities is also to be taken on this decision. However, the brand name and app of the company’s food delivery business Jomato will remain the same as before.

Jomato founder and CEO Deepender Goyal said in a letter to the shareholders, “Our board has approved this change today and I request our shareholders to support this change. If and when it is approved. If we go, our corporate website will change our stock tick from zomato.com. “
There will be 4 businesses in Eternal
Goyal reported that Eternal would currently include four major businesses – Jomato, Blinkit, District and Hyperpire. Goyal said, “When we acquired the blinkit, we started using” eternal “(instead of zomato) internally to differentiate between the company and the brand/app. We also thought that we would change the name of the company to Eternal on the day Jomato would become an important driver of our future other than Jomato. Today, with the blinkit, I think we are there. We would like to change the name of Jomato Limited, Company (Brand/App) to Eternal Limited.

Jomato’s stock closed down on Thursday on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The company’s stock fell 0.95 per cent or Rs 2.20 to close at Rs 229.05. The company’s market cap is Rs 2,21,041.28 crore.
