Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli
If any team has star players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, it becomes very difficult to defeat that team. Team India recently had to face 1-3 defeat against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After which the fans started blaming the poor form of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for this defeat. Many people even said that both these players should retire from Test cricket. Meanwhile, Team India’s former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has come out in support of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
What did Yuvraj Singh say?
Yuvraj Singh said that a clean sweep at home by New Zealand is more disappointing for Team India than losing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. At the same time, he also made it clear that he will not criticize experienced players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Team India has had a disappointing performance in the Test format in the last few months. The poor form of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli is being blamed for this poor performance.
Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh said that according to me, losing to New Zealand is more painful. Because they are losing 3-0 at home. You know, this is not acceptable. Losing BGT is still acceptable because you’ve won twice in Australia. And this time you lost. Yuvraj told PTI that Australia has been a dominant team for the last many years, this is my opinion.
Criticism of Rohit-Virat is wrong!
Virat Kohli scored only 190 runs in 9 innings on the Australia tour. Which also included a century. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma is also in a similar situation. They could score only 31 runs in five matches of the series, but Yuvraj said it was unfair to criticize both of them considering their past achievements. He said, we are talking about our great players, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, we are saying very bad things about them. Yuvraj Singh did not stop there and said that people forget what they have achieved in the past. He is one of the greatest cricketers of this time. Well, they lost, they didn’t play good cricket. They are more unhappy than us. Hopefully India will make a strong comeback.
