You will get free cylinder on Diwali, if you want free LPG cylinder, then you will have to do this work – free lpg cylinder if you want free lpg gas cylinder do ekyc cm yogi adiyanath ujjwala yojna

Free LPG Cylinder: This Diwali is going to be special for crores of women of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government has given a big gift to the women associated with the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. The government has announced that all eligible beneficiary women will be given free gas cylinders on this festival. This facility is being provided under the UP Free Gas Cylinder Scheme. On both the festivals of Diwali and Holi, Ujjwala consumers get free filled LPG cylinders. This year the process for Diwali has been started in the month of October itself.

What is UP Free Gas Cylinder Scheme?

This scheme has been specially designed for women associated with Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Under this, the government gives one free cylinder to eligible women during festivals. Although consumers first have to pay the price of the cylinder to the agency, later this amount is sent to their bank account in the form of subsidy. That means women get the full amount of the cylinder back.

It is necessary to get e-KYC done

To avail the benefits of this scheme, it is mandatory for consumers to complete e-KYC. For this, women can go to the website of Ujjwala Yojana and select their gas company Indane, HP or Bharat Gas and do online e-KYC. Those who do not have internet facility can also complete this process by visiting the nearest gas agency. If e-KYC is pending, subsidy payment may be delayed.

Who can apply

Women who have not yet joined the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana can apply for it. Under the scheme, eligible women are given free gas connection, regulator, pipe and first filled cylinder. Apart from this, subsidy of Rs 300 per cylinder is also available for up to 9 cylinders in a year.

The benefit of this scheme will be available to women aged 18 years or above, who are SC, ST, BPL cardholders, extremely backward class, or beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana. Apart from this, women from families falling in the 14-point poverty determination criteria are also eligible for this scheme.
