Sovereign Gold Bond: If you invested in the Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) 2020–21 Series-IV, then there is a great opportunity for you. On 14 July 2025, this SGB scheme will be eligible for premature redemption. The special thing is that investors who are redempted are going to get a return of about 100% on their investment. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has fixed the redemption price of Rs 9,688 per gram for this series. This bond was released in July 2020 at a price of Rs 4,852 per gram.
This means that investors will get a direct benefit of Rs 4,836 (₹ 9,688 – ₹ 4,852) per gram. If we look at the percentage, it is about 99.67% returns on the principal. In addition, investors have also received 2.5% annual interest every year, which is not included in it.
