What is the market cap of these Indian banks?
According to the report of data analytics and research company GlobalData, HDFC Bank has secured 13th position among the top 25 market cap banks of the world. Apart from this, ICICI Bank is at 19th position and SBI is at 24th position. At the end of the fourth quarter (October-December) of 2023, the market cap of HDFC Bank was $ 158.5 billion, that of ICICI Bank was $ 105.7 billion and that of SBI was $ 82.9 billion.
The position of Indian banks is strong
The report says that these Indian banks are in a strong position. ICICI Bank’s market cap grew by 25.8 per cent year-on-year to $105.7 billion during the January-December 2024 period. During the same period, the market capitalization of HDFC Bank increased by 1.6 percent year-on-year to $ 158.5 billion. According to the report, JP Morgan Chase has become the bank with the highest market cap in the world. The American Federal Reserve Bank is also included in this list. Currently there is an atmosphere of concern due to the tariffs imposed by Donald Trump.
