The BCCI has announced the Central Contract 2024-25. Even after retiring from T20 International cricket, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja have been retained in Grade-A+, while Shreyas Iyer and Ishaan Kishan have returned. Players involved in Grade-A get Rs 7 crore
BCCI has only four players in Grade-A+ of Central Contract. This includes Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Jaspreet Bumrah. 7 crore rupees are given to the players joining Grade-A.
A total of 5 players are included in Grade-B
Shreyas Iyer showed a good game in the Champions Trophy 2025. He presented a sample of the best batting in domestic cricket. Now the BCCI has returned his central contract. He has got a chance in grade B. Grade-B includes him besides Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Akshar Patel, Yashasvi Jaiswal. 3 crore rupees are given to all the players involved in Grade-B.
Rishabh Pant benefited
BCCI has included these 6 players in Grade-A. These include Mohammad Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami and Rishabh Pant. 5 crore rupees are given to all the players involved in Grade-A. Pant has benefited the most in this. Last time he was involved in Grade-B. This time he has been included in Grade-A and has benefited by two crore rupees.
In Grade-C, BCCI has included a total of 19 players in the Central Contract. All these will be given 1-1 crore rupees from the BCCI. Harshit Rana, Varun Chakraborty, Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Akash Deep have got a chance for the first time. All these have been included in grade-C. The BCCI announces an annual Central Contract for every year, which includes 3 Tests or 8 ODIs or 10 T20 International matches playing players playing in the same year.
