New Delhi: The weather seems to be changing in North India. Due to western disturbances, cold has increased in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar. Delhi has recorded light rain in the last few days. After the rains, the temperature also recorded a drop. West winds are blowing in Delhi-NCR. Due to this, the cold has increased in the morning and evening.

According to the Meteorological Department, on 6 and 7 February, Arunachal Pradesh and Northeast Assam are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall with lightning and electricity, while on 07 February, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at some places in Arunachal Pradesh. 8 February is likely to affect another fresh western disturbance Western Himalayan region. Its influence is expected to have light rain and snowfall activity during the western Himalayan region during 08-11 February.

The weather forecast agency Skymet says that there is a possibility of light to moderate rains in Gilgit-Baltistan, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Snowfall may also occur. A warning of light rain has been issued in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh.

Fog warning in these states including Bihar

Due to the western disturbance, the effect of cold in Bihar remains. However, the temperature has gradually estimated to increase. Several districts including Patna, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur and Gaya will have dense fog in the morning and evening for the next few days. The effect of cold will be maintained due to running wester winds and temperature can also be seen in the coming days. Apart from Bihar, there is a possibility of thick fog in Odisha and Himachal Pradesh in the morning.

Haryana-Punjab weather forecast

Alert has been issued in view of rain for the next three days due to the influence of western disturbances in Haryana and Punjab. Gurugram recorded the air quality index (AQI) 302 during the last 24 hours, which falls in the ‘lower’ category, while the AQI of Faridabad was 217.

How will the weather be in Rajasthan
Rajasthan has received light rain in many districts including Jaipur, Ajmer, Dholpur and Bikaner due to western disturbance in Rajasthan. Ajmer recorded 3.4 mm of rainfall, 2.0 mm in Dholpur and 1.0 mm in Jaipur. Sangaria recorded a minimum temperature of 6.7 degrees and Jaisalmer recorded 8.4 degrees. The Meteorological Department has predicted the movement of clouds in the coming days.
