Giving information on its official social media platform X, EPFO has said that the Employees Provident Fund Organization never asks any employee for any details related to their account. In such a situation, if someone pretending to be an EPFO employee asks you for confidential information related to your EPFO account – UAN number, password, PAN number, Aadhaar number, bank account details, OTP through phone call, message, WhatsApp, email etc. So don’t give him any information.
File complaint without delay
Actually, this is a ploy of cyber criminals and they can take away the hard-earned money deposited in your EPF account over the years. If someone pretending to be an employee of EPFO asks you for UAN number, password, PAN number, Aadhaar number, bank account details, OTP, then complain about it without any delay. Along with this, special care should also be taken to use cyber café or any public device to access your EPF account online.
