The company said, ‘VI for Delhi-NCR has partnered with Ericsson for the creation of the next generation 5G infrastructure, which provides energy efficiency and hardware. VI has also deployed AI-operated Self-Organizing Network (SON) technology to further improve network capacity. The 5G non-standalone (NSA) is used architecture, which ensures spontaneous transition between 4G and 5G for users ‘spontaneous experience.’

About 70% of users in Mumbai are already using VI’s 5G services and about 20% of its data traffic is already being run on 5G network.
