PM Modi held bilateral talks with the President of Paraguay at Hyderabad House.
Paraguay President Santiago Pena Palasios met Prime Minister Modi in Delhi this afternoon. The meeting took place at Hyderabad House in Delhi. During this period, bilateral level talks were also held between the leaders of the two countries.
Earlier, President Pena met with External Affairs Minister Jaishankar. After this, he reached Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
President Pena arrived in India on a three -day visit on Monday. This is his first official and a visit of a state of Paraguay to India. His aircraft landed at Palam Air Force Station in New Delhi. Here he was welcomed with the Guard of Honor.
President Pena will also meet Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today. Apart from this, President Draupadi Murmu will also organize a banquet (banquet) in his honor. President Pena will live in India from June 2 to June 4.

Diplomatic relations between India and Paraguay were established on 13 September 1961. The two countries have cooperation in areas such as trade, agriculture, health, medicines and information technology.
Paraguay is an important trading partner of India in Latin America. Many drugs and automobile companies in India are active in Paraguay. Some Paraguay companies are also present in India through joint ventures.
The two countries have a shared stand against improvement, climate change, renewable energy and terrorism in the United Nations.
