Former India spinner and Ranji coach of Delhi Sarandeep Singh has given a big statement about Virat Kohli’s retirement. He said that he is surprised by Virat Kohli’s decision to retire. Virat announced his retirement from Test cricket on 12 May. His retirement shocked the fans. Meanwhile, the things that Sarandeep Singh has said about Virat Kohli is quite surprising. He told that when Virat came to Delhi to play the Ranji Trophy match, there was a conversation between them about the England series. Kohli had told him that he wanted to perform well in the upcoming five Test matches against England and was ready to play practice matches with India A team in June.
Virat played Ranji Trophy match in Delhi
After a flop on Australia tour, Virat Kohli played a Ranji Trophy match for Delhi against Railways at Arun Jaitley Stadium in February. Speaking to Giostar, Sarandeep Singh said that Kohli had told him during the Ranji Trophy match that he was eager to take responsibility as senior batsman in the team and score three or four centuries in England.
