Mohammed Shami: Team India was eagerly waiting for a player for more than a year. The 5-match T20I series between India and England will start from January 22 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, in which Shami will also be seen playing. The Indian team has reached Kolkata for this series and has also started practice. Shami also reached Kolkata’s historic cricket ground Eden Gardens on January 19 with Team India. During this time, all eyes were on fast bowler Mohammed Shami. BCCI has also shared the video of Shami joining Team India on X. In this video, Shami is seen boarding the bus to go to the ground with young all-rounder Nitish Reddy and then entering the field. It can be seen in the video that bowling coach Morne Morkel is looking very happy after seeing Shami coming to the field and after that he is giving a warm hug. Shami, returning to Team India after a long gap of 14 months due to injury, bowled in full rhythm for more than an hour. Wearing a heavy bandage on his left knee, Shami, under the supervision of bowling coach Morne Morkel, initially bowled slowly with short run-ups and then increased the pace with full run-ups. He also took part in fielding practice after bowling for about an hour.
