Tamil cinema veteran actor Rajesh died in Chennai on Thursday. This morning (29 May) he suddenly suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital, after which he was declared dead. His wife Joan Sylvia has already passed away. They have a daughter and a son Divya and Deepak. Rajesh’s body is kept at his residence in Rampuram, Chennai, for the last visit of the public. The film industry and fan are in shock and mourning due to his sudden demise.
Rajinikanth expressed grief
Rajinikanth sent condolences to Rajesh’s family on Thursday and wrote how much he would miss his friend. He wrote in Tamil, ‘The news of the untimely death of my close friend, actor Rajesh shook me and hurt me a lot. He was an excellent person, peace to his soul. My deep condolences to his family and friends. ‘ Fans recalled Rajesh’s attachment to Rajinikanth in the comment and posted pictures of the time spent together. In many comments, a sudden death was also shocked.

Made debut in 1947
Born on 20 December 1949 in Mannargudi in Thiruvarur district, Rajesh quit a school teacher’s job and acted in films. In 1974, he played a small role in the film ‘Aval Oru Kotara Kathai’ directed by K Balachander. This is his first film to fall on the silver screen. He acted in more than 150 films including Nayak, Khalnayak and Gunachitra. His role in Bhagyaraj’s film ‘Andha 7 Days’ also impressed many people. He acted in films like Journey and, Fear Not Fear and New Ragas. Even after 2000, he continued to play character roles.
