Uttar pradesh school holidays: The holidays in UP’s primary schools have been extended by 15 days. Now schools in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed till June 30. Schools in UP are to open from June 16, but the government has accepted the demand to increase the holidays due to the ever increasing heat. The Yogi government of UP has decided to increase the school holiday due to the ongoing heat wave and rising heat in the state. However, teachers will have to go to school from June 16.
Many states of the country, including Uttar Pradesh, are currently having severe heat. In UP too, the temperature is continuously reaching 45 degrees Celsius. Sending children to school in such circumstances has become a cause of concern for parents. In view of the scorching heat, now the teacher organizations were demanding the government to extend the summer holidays by June 30.
Schools were to open from June 16
Currently, UP’s council schools are closed due to summer holidays. According to the already announced program, these schools were to open on 16 June. Now that the heat of the heat continues and the temperature is continuously climbing, both the teachers and the parents started worrying about the health of the children. This is the reason why all the government was demanding to increase the school holidays.
Teacher organizations submitted demand letter
In view of the scorching heat, representatives of the Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers Association and the Special BTC Teacher Welfare Association recently met the Basic Education Minister and the departmental officials. During this, he submitted a demand letter, which recommended to extend the school leave till June 30. According to Vinay Tiwari, president of the teachers union, at this time, children may have to face sharp heat, which is affecting their health. He said that opening school is not in the interest of children right now.

The heat is continuously increasing and now the mercury has gone above 45 degrees. In such a situation, opening schools is neither safe nor in the interest of children. On this occasion, teacher organizations made another demand. He said that the government has included only 15 districts regarding the transfer policy, while in the rest of the districts, teachers should get a chance to transfer.
