Uttar Pradesh It has emerged as the largest milk producing state of India. Uttar Pradesh has created a record by producing 38.78 million tonnes of milk in a year. That means 1,062.47 lakh liters of milk is produced every day in Uttar Pradesh. Avnish Kumar Awasthi, advisor to UP CM Yogi Adityanath, told on social media platform The organized sector has processed milk at the rate of 3.35 million tonnes annually i.e. 91.78 lakh liters per day.
Unorganized sector is quite big
Out of the 91.78 lakh liters of milk supplied every day by the organized sector, PCDF has processed 7.26 lakh liters of milk daily. Whereas Amul, Mother Dairy and other private companies have processed 84.52 lakh liters of milk daily. At the same time, the unorganized sector has processed milk in large quantities. It has managed 16.04 million tonnes of milk annually i.e. 439.45 lakh liters of milk daily.

In the year 2021-22, India was the largest milk producing country in the world. At that time, India produced 24 percent of the global milk production. Amul is the largest milk company in India.
