Ratcliffe previously served as the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) in Trump’s first term from May 2020 to January 2021. The US Parliament approved Ratcliffe’s appointment by a vote of 74-25.
Earlier, Trump had selected Shawn Curran as the director of Secret Service. Shawn Curran was leading the security team during the deadly attack on Trump in Pennsylvania last year.
