Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund (SALDF) director Kiran Kaur Gill said-
We are very upset with the decision of the Homeland Security Department in which the security of sensitive areas has been abolished and religious places like gurudwaras have been targeted.
Gurudwaras give food, housing and spiritual peace
SALDF said that the gurudwaras are not just a place of worship; They are community centers that provide housing, food and spiritual peace to Sikhs and other communities. Taking action in these places ends the sanctity of our faith.
The Sikh organization said that it is not accepted for our Sikh tradition to think that our gurdwaras may be government monitoring and with warrant or without warrant.
Criminals can no longer hide in schools and churches
The Homeland Department wrote on it on X- Today a search operation has been started throughout the New Jersey, so that the US Immigration Act can be implemented. This will make dangerous foreign criminals out of our society and strengthen national security.
A spokesman for the Homeland Security Department said- This action helps the brave soldiers of the police implement the immigration law. This can make our soldiers strongly take action to catch foreign criminals, including killers and rapists who have come to our country illegally.
The spokesman said that criminals could no longer hide in US schools and churches to avoid arrest. The Trump administration will not tie the hands of our brave officers, but will trust them.
