In New Jersey, USA, an Indian student was hit at the New Acark Airport like criminals and then handcuffed to India. Indian -origin US businessman Kunal Jain shared its video on social media on Sunday.
Jain wrote on X- I saw a young Indian student at New Aarkar Airport being handcuffed, crying, getting treated like a criminal. He came to make his dreams come true, not to harm anyone. Being an NRI, I feel weak and broken.
Jain told that the student was saying in Haryanvi- ‘I am not crazy, these people are trying to prove me crazy.’ It is not yet clear what causes the student to be submitted.
The officials slammed the Indian student on the ground by handcuffing.
The student kept crying continuously. He said that he is not crazy, trying to prove him crazy.

Appeal for intervention from Indian Foreign Minister
He further said- These children come by flight in the morning with a visa. For some reason, Immigration Authorities are unable to explain the reason for their arrival and are sent like criminals by tying hands and feet from the evening flight. 3-4 such cases are happening every day. Such cases have increased more in the last few days.
Jain Embassy, US and External Affairs Minister S.K. Appealed to Jaishankar to intervene in the matter. He wrote- someone should find out what is happening to this student.
US government is increasing strictness on international students
The incident took place at a time when the US government is increasing strictness on international students and canceling the visa without notice. From Palestine’s support to traffic violations, students fall into legal difficulties due to different reasons.
The US government has banned the new visa interview for foreign students two weeks ago. External Affairs Minister Marco Rubio issued an order regarding this. The objective of the order is to prevent Jewish opposition and leftist ideas in the universities of the country.
Rubio issued an order to American embassies around the world and said that they should not schedule new interviews for student visas, as the Trump government is going to tighten the investigation of the social media profiles of students coming to America.
He further said- With immediate effect, the Consular section should not allow the new appointment for the student or exchange visa (F, M and J) Visa until further guidelines are issued.
Visa of foreign students will be canceled when leaving class
The Trump administration says that if a foreign student leaves the course, class does not go or leaves studies, then his student visa can be canceled.
The US Embassy in India issued this information in a statement some time ago. The embassy always asked to follow their visa conditions to avoid any problem.
On the other hand, the Trump government has canceled the contract worth Rs 850 crore (about $ 100 million) with Harvard University. The decision was taken on 28 May 2025.
The government has already stopped the help of more than 22 thousand crore rupees for this Ivy League school.
