Uday Kotak, the country’s richest banker and former managing director and CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank, and his family have bought a property worth Rs 202 crore in the Worli area of Mumbai. According to information available by Zapkey, this transaction includes 12 properties, which are under Shiv Nagar Residential Property.
According to the documents, these transactions include his wife Pallavi Kotak, his son Jai and Dhawal Kotak and his parents Suresh and Indira Kotak. The total transactions are of 7,418 square feet space and it is purchased at Rs 2.71 lakh per sq ft. One transaction was registered on 30 January, while the other property was registered on 5 February.
Uday Kotak is currently the non-executive director of Kotak Mahindra Bank’s Board. He was the Manizing Director and CEO of the bank till September 2023. His stake in the bank was around 25.70 %. Moneycontrol tried to contact Uday Kotak’s office in this regard, but could not get the answer.
This area is a residential hideout of many billionaire-promoters from large corporate houses. There have been many big deal here in the last few months. Seema Singh, a member of the promoter family of Alcem Laboratories, has bought an apartment of Rs 185 crore at the Lodha C. Luxury Housing Development Society.
