The second ICC Women’s Under -19 T20 World Cup played in Malaysia’s capital Qualampur saw the dominance of the Indian team in which they continued their unstoppable campaign throughout the tournament and won the trophy for the second time. In this tournament for Team India, some players played a very important role with their game, including a name opening batsman Gongadi Trisha. Throughout the tournament, the bat of G. Trisha was seen speaking fiercely in which he scored a total of 309 runs, while in bowling, he took a total of 7 wickets. Now Gongadi Trisha has been congratulated by Telangana State Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his brilliant performance and has also announced to give him cash prizes.
State government announced to give one crore rupees
Gongadi Trisha met Telangana state Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on 5 February at his residence Jubilee Hills. The Chief Minister congratulated Trisha for his best performance in the recently held Under-19 Cricket World Cup. The CM wished Trisha to perform brilliantly in the field of cricket in the future and to illuminate the name of the country. At the same time, CM Revanth Reddy also announced a cash reward of Rs 1 crore to cricketer Trisha and Rs 10 lakh to Telangana’s Under-19 World Cup team member Dhruti Kesari. The state government announced a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh to the head coach Naushin and trainer Shalini of the Indian Women’s Under-19 team.
Gongadi made these two big records
This was the second edition of the Women’s Under -19 T20 World Cup in which Gongadi made 2 such maharakords that would not be easy to break. Gongadi scored more than 300 runs with the bat throughout the tournament in which she became the first player to cross the figure in an edition, while in a version, she also won the record as the highest run -scorer player. Apart from this, Gongadi Trisha is the first player in the Women’s Under -19 T20 World Cup to be able to play a century innings. In the entire tournament, Gongadi scored at an average of 77.25 while batting in 7 innings.
