Barabanki: The Ayodhya Express going from Ayodhya to Delhi received threats to get a bomb on Friday late evening. After this, the train was stopped and a thorough search. Police said the train was sent forward after two hours of intense search operations were carried out. He said that the Ayodhya Express (14205) going to Delhi was threatened with a phone. After this, railway administration and security agencies became alert. He said that the phone calling person claimed that the train would be bombed before Charbagh station. On receiving this information, the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP) and bomb disposal squad conducted intensive search of the train.

S-8 coach found slip

Police said that ‘high alert’ was released from Barabanki to Lucknow. Intelligence agencies also became active and security at railway stations was increased. The police further said that every compartment was searched as soon as the train stopped in Barabanki. Police said that a message was written inside the toilet of the S-8 compartment of the train that the train would be blown at Lucknow Charbagh station. He told that in this message, the details of ‘Bomb Mini RDX 8/7 UC 100mm Timer’ were given. The authorities were asked to take this threat seriously.

Search for two hours

Police said that the message claimed that the bomb is in a bag in the S-4/S-5 compartment. Barabanki Superintendent of Police (SP) Dinesh Kumar Singh said that the army bomb disposal squad was also called. An attempt is also being made to find out the person who threatened on the phone. He informed that the matter is being investigated. In -charge GRP Jairam Yadav said that after intensive search, the train was sent to (Lucknow) for two hours later. (Input-PTI)
